Before building homes, Shaun Draughn built a career that most said wasn’t possible. An undrafted rookie out of UNC Chapel Hill, he played seven years in the NFL across nine teams — earning every roster spot through preparation, adaptability, and an unwillingness to quit. He credits that perseverance, and everything he has built, to his faith in God.
What most people don’t know is that Shaun’s love for construction began while he was still on the field. Investing in flips and renovations during his NFL career, he discovered a new passion — the process of taking something from conception to completion, and creating a place where a family builds their life. When he retired in 2018, the path was clear.
He didn’t walk off the field and call himself a builder. He went to work — training under seasoned Triangle industry mentors, managing up to twelve single-family homes at a time, and earning the kind of hands-on experience that only comes from years of doing the work.
